THIS WILL BE A TIME
OF MOVING FORWARD FOR NCPC AND THE NATION – PASTOR KUMUYI
The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Church, Rev W.
F. Kumuyi has said that this time would be a time of real moving forward for
the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) and Nigeria. He disclosed this
in Abuja during a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian
Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Tor Uja.
He described the appointment of Rev. Tor Uja as the Executive
Secretary of NCPC “as God’s own appointment”.
He affirmed that NCPC would move forward under his
leadership, especially as he has had articulated his plan to reshape and
reposition Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria.
Pastor Kumuyi also stressed the need for Christian who go on
pilgrimage to come back as changed agents.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary thanked his special guest
for finding time to visit the Commission in spite of his busy schedule which he
described as a “rare priviledge from a man of God of pastor Kumuyi’s caliber”.
The NCPC boss described him as the father of faith who
introduced the first real spiritual revolution in Nigeria. He said his
revolution had affected all parts of the Church in Nigeria.
He described the founder of Deeper Life Church as a very
consistent Church leader who is currently on a nationwide trail. He appreciated
God for the untiring pursuit of the man of God.
Rev. Uja intimated that he was carrying out a road map of
pilgrimage in Nigeria. His words: “we are redefining the pilgrimage process”.
He explained that for Christian pilgrimage to be “worth the while, we need
fathers of the lord like you”.
He called on Pastor Kumuyi to help and support the Commission
in its effort to change the face of Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria.
He explained that one
of his goals in NCPC would be to make the Commission a blessing to the entire
nation. He equally called on the church to take ownership of Christian
pilgrimage.
