Filmhouse Dugbe reopens, lights up Ibadan in style
After
11 months without activities, Filmhouse Cinemas reopened its Heritage
Mall, Dugbe branch with the presence of overwhelming crowd and
celebrities.
Filmhouse Cinemas opened its doors on December
17, showing free movies to all and on December 18, a film premier, 'Out
Of Luck' was screened to herald the long wait.
The Group
Managing Director, Odua Investment Limited, Mr Adewale Raji said: "On
behalf of the management of Odua Investment Limited, we are beyond
delighted about this and not too soon indeed, we pray that this would
reiterate the excellence in mall shopping experience in Ibadan and
beyond as we continue to thrive to bring Oyo State more of such
experiences, we appreciate the Heritage Mall occupants and promise to
continue to provide services that enhance their businesses.”
Also,
the CEO, Filmhouse Cinemas, Kene Mkparu, was full of gratitude to God
for the reopening of the entertainment hub. He added: “Seeing how Ibadan
citizens are so excited to have their cinema back makes me give thanks
to God for making this possible. This cinema will also contribute to the
all-important distribution outlets that Nollywood film producers need
to realise more revenue from their films.
"The cinema will
feature the latest Nollywood, Bollywood, Hollywood and International
blockbusters on a weekly basis in Lagos, Kano, Port Harcourt, Calabar,
Enugu, Benin and most recently, Akure."
